Local Newspaper to close down
The North Florida Herald, founded in 1952, and once known as the High Springs Herald, covers Florida's crescent communities: Alachua, Newberry, High Springs, Fort White, Gilchrist County and Jonesville. The Herald not only reports local events, birthday parties, block parties, anniversaries, and local elections but also advertisements, sales and specials for businesses. This will be a great loss for our community.
