The Big Read: April 2012

In April 2012 the Alachua County Library District will be celebrating Ursula Le Guin's A Wizard of Earthsea. Originally published as a young-adult fantasy novel in 1968, Le Guin's adventure tale proved so imaginatively engaging and psychologically profound that it continues to captivate readers of all ages.
Free programs will be happening at branch libraries and throughout the community for the entire month.

This ten-day festival seeks to raise consciousness about environmental issues, educate people on how each one of us can contribute toward sustainability and inform folks about environmental issues in their community."
