On Friday, August 3, at 3:00 p.m. in the Foundation Room at the Headquarters library, we are discussing Charles Bukowski's novel Post Office and also looking at his work as a poet, novelist, short story writer and newspaper columnist. Often using Los Angeles as a backdrop, Bukowski writes about the underbelly of America with him, or his literary doppelganger Henry Chinaski, placed firmly in the middle of it.
Have a favorite Bukowski line? Come and share it while exploring his cult celeb status with some readers.
