Join us at the High Springs Branch Library on Tuesday, May 13th at 3:30pm for the 2nd Annual Kids Love Books! event in celebration of the 95th anniversary of Children's Book Week.

Check out the booths behind the library all about some of your favorite book series: Pete the Cat by James Dean and Eric Litwin, Rainbow Magic Fairies by Daisy Meadows, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney.

Join us for crafts, games, trivia, balloon animals, face painting and prizes. Also enjoy pony and cart rides from Party Animals Pony Rides and food provided by the High Springs Friends of the Library. You'll get to make a magic wand like the fairies have, create your own journal to write your adventures in like Greg does, and decorate shoelaces that are as cool as Pete's.

"Established in 1919, Children's Book Week is the longest-running national literacy initiative in the country. Every year, commemorative events are held nationwide at schools, libraries, bookstores, homes -- wherever young readers and books connect!" To learn more, check out www.bookweekonline.com.
