Walter Wick, famous author and photographic illustrator for his very popular I Spy series turns 58 this month.  Celebrate by playing I Spy and Can You See What I See online,  and by checking out his books.  

Where does Walter get all the stuff that he uses to make his puzzles?  He scavenges junk drawers and collects objects at yard sales, flea markets, and antique fairs, where all sorts of treasures await --  boxes of toy cars; mason jars full of marbles, beads and buttons, tin containers with toy blocks, and much more   Discount stores, party stores, craft supply stores, and of course, toy stores are his favorite resources, along with things he finds walking on the beach or in the forest.

Walter made his first book, I Spy: A Book of Picture Riddles in 1992, and just released a new one this past year, Can You See What I See?: Treasure Ship.

Walter loves making optical illusions and puzzles, visiting schools, and talking to his fans.  “In all the years I’ve been doing photography, I’ve never had a more appreciative audience than kids.
