The Bridge of Lions Exhibit is now on display at the Tower Road Branch and will travel to the Archer Branch in August. This exhibit includes archeological remains discovered during the Rehabilitation Project of the Bridge of Lions, such as hand-blown glass bottles, pieces of refined earthenware, and tableware, including majolica pottery shards. Artifact descriptions, a timeline of St. Augustine's history and supplemental information panels as well as a 28-page brochure are available at the host library to enhance the viewing experience.
This exhibit dealing with past human life and activities complements the many science-themed programs available at your libraries this summer.
This exhibit was created by Southeastern Archaeological Research, Inc. (SEARCH), a private, cultural-resource management firm and comes complimentary of the Florida Department of Transportation, (FDOT) District 2.
