BUDGET WORKSHOP MINUTES
Thursday, May 27, 2010 – 10:30 A.M.

The Alachua County Library District Governing Board and the Alachua County Library District Board of Trustees met in joint special session.
PRESENT: Governing Board Chair Eileen Roy, presiding, Governors Mike Byerly, Cynthia Moore Chestnut, Paula M. DeLaney, and Thomas Hawkins
Trustees Sheila K. Dickison, Dorothy Field, Xavier J. Monroe, and Gloria A. Moore
ABSENT: Governing Board Vice-Chair Scherwin Henry
Board of Trustees Chair Kim Worley, Vice-Chair Vivian L. Filer, Trustee Ryan S. Litsey
ALSO PRESENT: Library Director Sol Hirsch, Administrative Services Division Director Shaney T. Livingston, County Attorney David Wagner, Deputy Clerk Bob Decker
The meeting was not televised.
Chair Roy opened the meeting at 10:35 A.M.
ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
Governor DeLaney moved adoption of the agenda. The motion carried 4-0 with Governor Byerly out of the room.
FISCAL YEAR 2010-2011 TENTATIVE BUDGET
Library Director Sol Hirsch presented the above item.
Governor Byerly entered the room at 10:37 A.M.
Trustee Monroe entered the room at 10:38 A.M.
Trustee Monroe moved adoption of the agenda for the Board of Trustees. The motion carried 4-0.
Chair Roy recognized County Attorney David Wagner.
Governor Chestnut left the room at 11:25 A.M.
Trustee Dickison moved to transmit the budget to the Governing Board. The motion carried 4-0.
GOVERNING BOARD AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES COMMENTS
Chair Roy thanked Director Hirsch and staff for their outreach to other agencies and for reducing the overall budget.
CITIZEN COMMENTS
There were no citizens present who wished to provide comments to either Board.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 11:37 A.M.
