Law in the Library: Restoration of Civil Rights and Expungement
The Alachua County Library District is partnering with the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association to present Law in the Library: Restoration of Civil Rights and Expungement.
Meshon Rawls, Esq., University of Florida Levin College of Law Professor, will present Law in the Library: Restoration of Civil Rights and Expungement, on March 11, at 6 p.m. at Headquarters. Rawls will discuss the following: (1) the requirements for restoring civil rights and sealing and expunging records in Florida, specifically highlighting the differences between the processes, (2) the challenges that ex-offenders encounter when attempting to re-establish themselves in the community and (3) the value in developing re-entry programs and opportunities for ex-offenders.
The Alachua County Library District is partnering with the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association to present the “Law in the Library Series” to provide area citizens with valuable legal information and services on pertinent topics. The sessions will be held at multiple Alachua County Library District locations including:
