Boost your knowledge power.

What's more powerful than a Teen Titan? A library card. This September marks the 30th anniversary of Library Card Sign-up Month. Crime-fighting DC Super Heroes, the Teen Titans, are teaming up with the American Library Association to show students the power of a library card.

Today’s libraries offer you the tools you need to expand your knowledge and skill set with access to the world’s information both in print and digitally, plus hands on training in MAKERspaces and innovative programming.

Sign up for a library card at any library and on Saturday, Sept. 9, at O’Leno State Park’s Literacy Day Book Fair. The bookmobile and High Springs Branch library staff will be at the park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to sign up visitors for library cards.

College students can learn more about library services and sign up for a library card at Smathers Library on the University of Florida campus September 11 to 15, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Santa Fe College campus in the Oak Grove area on September 27, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Library cards are free to those living in Florida. Borrowing privileges are granted on the spot after signing up with proper identification.Learn more about library card services.
