Discover Unlimited Possibilities @ your library

During National Library Week April 12-18, we take time to highlight and celebrate the contributions of our libraries and librarians. ACLD serves Alachua County by providing e-books and computer classes, free downloadable music, materials for English-language learners, programs for job seekers and an impressive number of diverse programs for all ages. “Whatever your interest or need, our libraries and staff are here to provide you the resources you need to accomplish your goals and dreams," said Library Director Shaney T. Livingston. “We invite you to explore your library, a place of unlimited possibilities.”

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. Libraries help to ensure the American dream and promote democracy by providing service to all regardless of race, ethnicity, creed, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity or socio-economic status.
