Escape from Diagon Alley

Escape from Diagon Alley

Goal: Escape from Diagon Alley if you can or meet with a disagreeable end.

Our tale:

Welcome to Diagon Alley, where all of your Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Supplies can be found.  We know that there are only a few weeks until September 1st and you are anxious to get all of your supplies.  Today, Olivander’s will meet all of your wand and wand-keeping needs.  Find all of the School Books you need at Flourish and Blotts. Perhaps you hope to make the house team this year, so be sure to visit Quality Quidditch supplies.  Of course you can’t forget to stop at Gringotts and withdraw your gold.  Wait a second, do you feel that?  It’s so cold and I can’t conjure a happy thought.  BOOM!

Loud voices are shouting in the alley, people are screaming!  What is going on?  “Expelliarmus Maxima” What was that!  Everyone’s wand is flying around and it’s impossible to follow the direction your wand flies.  You know that Dementors and rogue Death Eaters are lurking just outside the door of the shop you are visiting.  You must find your wand as you are the only one who knows the Patronus charm.  Lucky for you, all of the shops in Diagon Alley created fail safe during the last war with Voldemort and his Death Eaters.  Any time someone tries to disarm a wizard in these shops, wands go into any number of safe hiding spots within the stores.  The problem is that only witches and wizards with strong puzzle solving skills will be able to solve the puzzle.  Channel your inner Hermione and find your way to discover the correct wand through the puzzles and clues scattered throughout the room.  Store employees may be able to answer your questions, but they are also trying to keep people quiet and away from the windows so that Death Eaters and Dementors don’t come into their stores.  Don’t yell while working out the clues or you may attract the attention of the Death Eaters or worse the Dementors.  No one wants to be dragged away to their hideout.
