SAFE Self-Defense Class

There will be a free Rape/Aggression Defense class for women and girls ages 13 and older at the Alachua Branch Library, Tuesday, Feb 19th at 5:00 pm

There are lots of good reasons to take a self defense class.  It builds self-esteem, improves your street awareness, and develops your survival instincts.

The Alachua County Sheriff’s Department will be offering this 2 hour class to those who are interested in learning about ways to defend oneself in the event of an attack.

Girl’s ages 11 through 12 may attend only with an accompanying female guardian. Learn real skills in how to defend yourself!

This program has a minimum of 15 participants to happen, and it is capped at 25. Register and secure your free spot today!

Wear clothes you can freely move in.

If this class fills up you have options.  Sign up for the waitlist.  We review the list of attendees the day before.  Reaching out to everyone to see if they are still able to attend.  If not we move those on the waitlist up. Or if that Tuesday doesn't work for you try any of these other branches as well:
