Sewing for kids and teens

Indulge your love of sewing with our upcoming free hand sewing class for kids and teens at the Alachua Branch Library on Feb. 7th. This special S.T.E.A.M. class, from 4pm to 5pm, will focus on heart shaped Valentine's softies.  And for those who think hearts are too mushy, we have something just for you too!

No experience needed. We will provide all the supplies- scissors, sewing needles, felt, etc. At the end of the sewing class kids (8-10) and teens (11-18) will have learned how to thread a needle and 3 basic stitches such as a running stitch, whip stitch, and the back stitch.

No registration is needed. You will have an hour to complete the project but if more time is needed you can come back the following Thursday, Feb 14th to finish your masterpiece. Come have a good time with us.
