December Kid and Teen Programs at the Archer Branch

Happy December! We're kicking off our winter quarter with these fun programs for kids, teens, and families happening at the Archer branch this month. Adult programs are here, and keep in mind our online calendar is always the most up-to-date!

~Featured Programs~

Wednesday, December 4, at 3:00 p.m. Bingo - December is the birth month of Bingo. Bring a friend and try your luck! You may win a prize! (All Ages)

Wednesday, December 11, at 2:00 p.m. Whatever Wednesday - NEW EVENT! Discover your inner creative genius! Every second Wednesday of the month, tools and supplies will be provided for participants to create and explore. All YOU need to bring is your imagination! (Ages 5-12)

Thursday, December 12, at 4:00 p.m. Gingerbread House Decorating - Our third annual Gingerbread House Decorating Event! Both children and adults alike are welcome to come and participate in this fun holiday event! All supplies will be provided. What clever and tasty design will YOU come up with? (All Ages, limited to 15 participants)

Wednesday, December 18, at 10:30 a.m. A Christmas Carol: Presented by Jordan Glen School - Come to the Archer Community Center to see Jordan Glen School's 7th and 8th graders perform A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. (All Ages)

Wednesday, December 18, at 5:45 p.m. Drop Spindle Class - Make your own drop spindle (or bring your own) to turn wool roving into yarn you can use for knitting, crochet, or any yarn craft! (Teens and Up)

Thursday, December 19, at 5:00 p.m. Art Lab - Teens and adults can come join us for a different art project every month. (Teens and Up)

Friday, December 20, at 3:00 p.m. Storytime with Miss Annie Bell - Meet Miss Annie Bell and listen to some stories! (Ages 3-11)

Saturday, December 21, at 3:00 p.m. Movie Matinee: Getting into the Holiday Spirit - A hybrid holiday classic! Let Jack the Pumpkin King help you get ready for the holidays! (All Ages: Rated PG)

Storytime - Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. (Ages 3-5)

Chess Club - Tuesdays at 5:15 p.m. (All Ages)

Music and Movement - Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. (Ages 3-11)
December 5, 12, and 19

Math Tutoring - Every other Saturday at 10:00 a.m. (Ages 5-11)
December 7 (Registration Required. Click the event link to register.)

Don't forget: The library district will be closed on Tuesday, December 24th, and Wednesday, December 25th, in observance of the Christmas holiday. Regular hours will resume Thursday, December 26th. We will also be closing early on Tuesday, December 31st, at 5:00 p.m. for New Year's Eve and closed on Wednesday, January 1st, for New Year's Day. Regular hours resume on Thursday, January 2nd. We hope to see you at the library soon!
