FOODIEspace: Ice Cream Science

FOODIEspace: Ice Cream Science at the Archer Branch Library

Join us on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 3 p.m. as FOODIEspace comes to the Archer Branch Library! Discover the science behind ice cream this summer at the library. First, follow the recipe to mix up the ingredients into your ice cream base. We'll talk a little about simple measurements and fractions. Then, we'll add the mixture to our Yaylabs! Ice Cream Maker Balls for mixing. Roll and shake the ball to speed up the process. Next, we need to add ice and salt to the other side of the ice cream ball.  Why do we add salt? Join us to find out!

This process takes about an hour to complete and then eat. Please arrive on time as it is first come first served. Please register by calling or going online. Please review the ingredient list and inform staff of any dietary restrictions at registration. In order to provide for dietary requirements, staff must be informed prior to the event.

Ingredients List:
Ice Cream: Half & Half, Sugar, Vanilla

Space is limited; please register online or by calling 352.495.3367. You won't want to miss out on making ice cream with us!
