Holiday Pine Cone Craft

Pine cones, of course, come from pine trees.  Pine trees belong to a group of plants known as gymnosperms.  They date back to prehistoric times.  Gymnosperm, which means "naked seed" is a plant that has seeds unprotected by an ovary or fruit.  Pines trees produce male and female cones, but the woody cones we are most familiar with are the female cones. For some interesting facts on pine cones visit  Thirteen things you never knew about pine cones.

Join us on Tuesday, November 13 at 11:00am in Meeting Room B  to create lovely holiday decorations from nature's pine cones.  Materials will be provided.
