The Alachua County Library District invites everyone to Florida author Tim Dorsey’s 2018 The Pope of Palm Beach Book Tour on Thursday, Sept. 13, at 6 p.m. at the Waldo Community Center, 13558 NE 148 Avenue, Waldo. Dorsey will talk about his latest book in the Serge A. Storms series, The Pope of Palm Beach, which places Serge and his sidekick Coleman on the road again and back to Riviera Beach where they grew up. Follow their literary pilgrimage as Serge digs into the Legend of Riviera Beach and unintentionally disturbs some long-forgotten ground, attracting the attention of a cast of villains that only Florida can produce.
Meet New York Times bestselling author Tim Dorsey and learn more about his Florida travels and other books such as Florida Roadkill, Hammerhead Ranch Motel, Orange Crush, Triggerfish Twist, The Stingray Shuffle, Cadillac Beach, The Big Bamboo, Hurricane Punch and Atomic Lobster. Dorsey, who lives in Tampa, is well-known for his series of Florida crime capers written in a style reminiscent of Dave Barry or Carl Hiaasen.
Dorsey will have multiple book titles, hats and t-shirts available for sale and signing. He will also sign copies of books people bring from home. This free event, is open to everyone.
