Award-winning author Jewell Parker Rhodes will speak at Headquarters Library September 26

Alachua County Library District welcomes author and educator Jewell Parker Rhodes on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 6:30 p.m., to Headquarters Library, 401 E. University Avenue. Rhodes is an educator and author of six adult novels: Voodoo Dreams, Magic City, Douglass’ Women, Season Moon and Hurricane. She is best known for her middle grade novels including Towers Falling and Ninth Ward which received the Coretta Scott King Author Honor. Her next book Ghost Boys will be published in the spring of 2018. All ages are invited to enjoy an Evening with Jewell Parker Rhodes sponsored by Friends of the Library.
