JW Robitaille launches new novel at library

Robitaille book jacketWhen a young girl attempts suicide as a result of a sexting incident, Detectives Cory Marin, Janelle Ramos, and Makena Neal investigate. When the trail leads to a group of star athletes, no one wants the story told, not school officials and not the students themselves. But Cory, Janelle, and Mac, each for her own reasons, cannot walk away from the powerlessness experienced by the girls. When a student disappears, Cory and her team race to figure out who is responsible before it's too late. What unfolds is an escalating web of Consequences that no one could have anticipated.

Julie Robitaille, who writes as JW Robitaille, will present her book launch for Consequences on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 2:30 pm in Meeting Room B. She writes the Cory Marin Mystery series, which features a strong female detective with a complicated love life and a diverse group of friends. In addition to writing, Julie enjoys painting, cooking, gardening, walking, house restoration, and travel. She lives in Gainesville, Florida, the setting of all her fiction. In addition to her Gainesville detective series, she writes literary fiction, short stories, screenplays, and is getting ready to launch a Young Adult dystopia series (think hopeful, think Parkland kids taking action). If you'd like to be an early reader for either series, contact her at jwrobitaille@gmail.com. Julie received degrees in English from Emory University, the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and the University of Florida.
