Dr. Susan Carter Collins is the founder of the Synergistic Healing Center of Atlanta where she is a Spiritual LifeWorks Ceritified Coach, a Master Synergistic Energy Healer, and a certified Reiki Master Teacher. As an Associate Professor for Criminal Justice at Georgia State University in Atlanta, she retired with Emeriti faculty status after 15 years. Her research included legal issues, sexual harassment, race and gender issues, criminal justice policy and education. A native of Gainesville, Florida, she is a licensed attorney in the State of Florida and has held multiple positions in the legal and criminal justice fields. She was the first Police Legal Advisor for the city of Tallahassee Police Department and held that position for 10 years.
Dr. Woodrow (Max) Parker, Professor Emeritus at UF, has authored several books including Consciousness-Raising: A Primer for Multicultural Counseling. Multicultural Relations on Campus: A Personal Growth Approach, Images of Me: A Guide to Group Work with African American Women, and Becoming Multiculturally Responsible on Campus: From Awareness to Action. He is a Stillman College graduate with Degrees in English and Spanish. He also holds a Masters, Specialist, and Ph.D in Counselor Eduation and Mental Health from USF and UF. The Real Education of Sweet Papa T. is his memoir.
