The Rebels of Florida is a historical fiction novel describing Florida’s involvement during the Civil War. Over 10 years of research and work have been put into the book which was published in March 2017.
Leah Oxendine will present a dramatic reading from her novel as well as perform live music on the Appalachian mountain dulcimer and answer your questions about Florida during the Civil War. Hear period music from the 1860s and also get to see what a woman would have worn during the Victorian era in the south.
