Getting to Know You: Character Creation with local author Priscilla Oliveras

Many readers claim the books on their Keeper Shelves are there because they were drawn to the characters and want to revisit them. Before you can bring your characters to life, you have to get to the know them as well as you know your best friends. This presentation will explain several character drafting/creating techniques that can help you achieve that level of insight. From tools such as character sketches, interviews, journaling, “who, what, why,” and goal,  motivation, conflict (GMC),  attendees will leave with a few more character creating assets in their writer’s toolbox.
