Graphic Novelist and Illustrator Andre Frattino     Draco and the Malfoys

This all day event will be filled with fun activities for con goers of all ages and culminate with a Costume Contest on the fourth floor. The always popular Geek Battle will be back, and this year we are introducing Live Action Pac Man.

We will have three panel discussions throughout the day.

  • Girl Power: Feminism and the Magical Girl Genre will be talking about girls teaming up. Explore the different takes on everything from Sailor Moon to Kill la Kill.
  • Remaking Culture: The power of Fanfiction will be talking about fanfiction. “Power” or, rather, “empowerment” will be a major theme of the panel, as will the transformative aspect of creating fanworks.
  • Cosplay, Make up! This panel will discuss the transformative aspects of cosplay that allow a person to become something entirely different through the power of artistry, building, and creativity.

Special presenters include Gamesville Tabletop, SCA, R.U. Game?, and SAW. They will be putting on D&D campaigns, a swordplay demonstration, retro games, and comic book workshops throughout the library and courtyard.

Vendors and food trucks will be set up in the courtyard for noms and your geeky materialistic needs.

They will include: Gamesville TabletopDino Games, Midnight House Elves, R.U. Game?, Humble pie, Cora's Kitchen, and  LEJ Pretzel, Co.
