Spring Book Talks

 On April 23rd, the guest speaker will be Ayana Archer, author of  “#IMHER: My Journey to Finding HER”.

Ms. Archer is also a mother, community activist and founder of the Janiyah Irving Youth Foundation.  She defines herself as a women who takes full responsibility for her actions, recognizes her purpose and works towards living a life that is consistent with being a leader.

 Ms. Archer will be speaking and signing copies of her book (for purchase) in the library’s meeting room at 1:00 p.m.

  On May 28th, the speaker is Charles Washington, Jr., of Raleigh, NC. He will discuss his book, “GOD Is Bigger than a Game!”.

Charles Washington is a public speaker, pastor and author.  He grew up in Gainesville, Florida and graduated from Eastside High School, and played football at both, the collegiate and professional levels. Pastor Washington is also the founder of Unlocked, a leadership academy for youth. As a new author and pastor, his mission is to motivate others to maximize their life, despite inevitable challenges. 


Pastor Washington will be discussing his book (available for purchase) at 11:00 a.m. in the library’s meeting room.
