Gainesville, Fla. – The Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale will be held Saturday, Oct. 19 through Wednesday, Oct. 23 at the Book House, 430-B N. Main St. The event draws thousands of book lovers twice a year to find treasures including bargain-priced books, DVDs, vinyl records, artwork, rare materials, and more.
Shoppers are advised to bring their own bags or boxes. Only cash and checks are accepted for payment.
Fall Book Sale hours are:
- Saturday, Oct. 19, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Sunday, Oct. 20, 12-6 p.m.
- Monday, Oct. 21, 12-6 p.m.
- Tuesday, Oct. 22, 12- 6 p.m. – All items in the general collection are half price.
- Wednesday, Oct. 23, 12-6 p.m. – All items are 10 cents.
The Collector’s Corner, which includes first editions, signed works, and unique finds, is open Saturday through Tuesday.
Friends of the Library’s book sale proceeds support the Alachua County Library District in many ways, including purchasing materials, paying for programs for all ages, funding scholarships for staff, and supporting remodel projects.
