Where Will I Live? by Rosemary McCarney

Where Will I Live?Compelling photographs of real child refugees from around the world are coupled with simple text questions in their own voices asking basic heart-breaking questions.

"But where will I live? Will it be down this road....beyond this hill....past this fence....across this sea? Will I live under a carpet...beneath some stairs...in a tent....or a whole city of tents? Will I be able to sleep in the same place every night?"

The photographs are from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. The children depicted here came from Lebanon, Rwanda, Iraq, Niger, Hungary, Jordan, and Greece. Their families fled their homes to escape war, natural disasters, or terrorism.

This beautiful picturebook ends on an optimistic note that perhaps these children will find a place to live where they are welcomed.
