You may ask, what's this book all about? Highly Illogical Behavior is about Solomon and how he hasn't left his home in three years. When I mean he hasn't left his home, he hasn't even gone out to his backyard. The reason why he hasn't left his house in three years is because he is an agoraphobe and has crippling panic attacks. It's actually because of his last big one at school that his parents decided to home school him, and gave Solomon a reason to never go outside. This book is also about Lisa. Lisa is your typical straight A student, involved in every club at school and all around over achiever (not that that's a bad thing). Lisa's goal when she graduates from high school is to go to her second choice college (where she can be at the top of her class) and attend their psych program. In order to do this however, she needs to write the best essay ever. Guess what her plan is? That's right. Her plan is to cure Solomon of his agoraphobia and panic attacks and write the results in her essay. Easy peasy right? Well, you'll have to read or listen to the book to find out.
My thoughts: So, first off I have changed my mind. Audiobooks aren't all that bad. I guess I can say I'm a fan of audiobooks (now). I used to not be... then I listened to this book. It's surprisingly funny at times, definitely sad at others and overall it's a good teen story. I would recommend this for older teens (14 - 17+). It's also about five hours long, which isn't too bad, especially if you're a crafter or working on a school project. I actually listened to this while I was traveling this weekend.
My favorite part of the book has to be all of the Star Trek references and the fact that Solomon turned his garage into a holodeck. That's really awesome! I also got a kick out of the fact that they were playing Munchkin. Munchkin is a pretty fun game (for some) and a really intense game (for others). If you haven't played, I recommend you do. If you don't want to buy it to play it, find somone who has it or stop by your local table top game store. I'm sure they have it.
If you're not a fan of audiobooks, we have this in print and in an eBook format. So check it out here!
