Renegades by Marissa Meyer

The Renegades are an organization of humans with extraordinary abilities The original Renegades emerged from the ruins of a crumbled society and established peace and order where chaos ruled. As advocates of justice, they remain a symbol of hope and courage to everyone... except the villains they once overthrew. Nova has a reason to hate the Renegades, and she is on a mission for vengeance. As she gets closer to her target, she meets Adrian, a Renegade boy who believes in justice, and in Nova. But Nova's allegiance is to a villain who has the power to end them both. Renegades and Arch-Enemies are out now and Supernova is scheduled for publication on November 5th.

This is was a super interesting story about a villain who plays at being a hero and a hero who takes a walk on the wild side. Set in a dystopian world where lots of people have powers, some cooler and more useful than others. I really enjoyed the huge range of gifts that Meyer came up with for her characters. When people say super heroes we tend to think of flying, super strength, invisibility, etc. Meyer has taken it to a whole new level with people who can make origami come to life, not sleeping, jewels coming out of your blood, etc. This book was sure to deliver a few twists along the way and i love being surprised by books, it is so refreshing because it honestly doesn't happen very often.
