This is a great story about war told through the eyes of a very sick young girl who is far away from home and anything she knows. It is a special person that can go through tragedy, but can still manage to find beauty true beauty in the world around them. This book is Chronicles of Narnia meets The Secret Garden. It is a good book for anyone who is a fan of historical but not so sure about fantasy, or vice versa.
