Join us at the Hawthorne Library for another fun year of educational events for homeschoolers.  We meet once a month on the fourth Wednesday at 1PM.  Our first meeting for the 2015-16 year will be on Wednesday, September 23th at 1PM.  All ages are welcome from babies through the teen years.  We currently have one group with all ages but if we should have a wide-range of ages we will split into two groups to plan for age appropriate activities.

Why join a homeschool group?  Joining a homeschool group gives you and your family the opportunity to meet and learn with other homeschool families in your area.  It's also a great way for your children to socialize with their peers, share their knowledge, make new friends and for you to network with other homeschool families.

All educational events and materials will be provided by the Hawthorne Library and programs will be led by the librarians and guest speakers invited specifically for this group.

Last year we had some really amazing guests:

HARN Museum

ComputerCoding

This year we are planning some fun activities with different subject areas.  Our first meet will be all about creative writing.  We will be using wordless picture books to create stories!  October will be all about Geography!

We sure hope you can join us!  New members are accepted throughout the year.  If you can't make the first meet, it's ok to join us at a later time.

If you have any questions about the Hawthorne Homeschool Group you can email Wendy Schneider at wschneider@aclib.us or Guylene Resue at gresue@aclib.us or call 352-481-1920.  We look forward to hearing from you!  Also, if you would like to be added to our email list for information regarding this group please send us your email.
