Are you ready to zoom into a craft adventure starring you as the astronaut navigating your very own rocket ship?  Join Ms. Meredith in making your own spacy bookmark.

Gather these supplies to get started:

  • 2 colors of card stock paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue, or a glue stick
  • A hole punch
  • Red, yellow, and orange yarn (thread or embroidery thread will also work)
  • A favorite photo (copy) of yourself. Check with your grown-up to see if it is ok to use it for this project, because you will be cutting it to fit your rocket’s porthole.

If you are excited about outer space, the Alachua County Library District has a huge collection of books to keep you in orbit. Here are a few of them:

Rocket to the Moon

Amazing Makerspace Fliers

Sardine in Outer Space

Brick by Brick Space

Go For the Moon: a Rocket, a Boy, and the First Moon Landing
