Comics at the library

Award-winning cartoonist Jess Ruliffson has spent the past five years interviewing veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars for a full-length graphic novel. In this presentation, Jess will talk about what it's like to tell real people's stories through comics, and perform a live comics reading. This will be followed by a portrait drawing demonstration.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a Q & A with the artist.

Jess teaches comics at the Sequential Artists Workshop in Gainesville which can also be found on line at www.sequentialartistsworkshop.org.

This program will be presented at the Headquarters Library, Saturday, December 10th at 1:00 PM in Meeting room B. For more information, call (352) 334-3940
