Local author Lola Haskins appears at Headquarters December 6

Local author Lola Haskins will be at Headquarters to present her new book How Small, Confronting Morning.  Lola has published 15 books of poetry and three of prose. Her work has appeared in The Atlantic, The Christian Science Monitor, The London Review of Books, Georgia Review, Prairie Schooner and elsewhere, and has been broadcast on BBC and NPR. Among her honors are two Florida book awards, two NEAs, four Florida artist fellowships, the Iowa Poetry Prize, the Emily Dickinson Prize from PSA, several awards for narrative poetry and an award for environmental writing from Florida's Eden.
