National Poetry Month

Since 1996 April is National Poetry Month.  At the Headquarters library we'll be doing three poetry-related programs, all free and open to the public.

Sun. April 7, 4pm: Local poet Lola Haskins will present her "greatest hits."

Mon. April 8, 7pm: Local professor Marsha Bryant will give a lively talk about poet Sylvia Plath and her relationship to domesticity.

Thurs. April 11, 7:30pm: Local poet Sidney Wade will be giving a reading from her new collection Straits & Narrows.  Hear some of her archived poems here.

And, remember, the Alachua County Library District has poetry in all formats for you year-round!
