Celebrating Veterans and Their Families at the High Springs Library

Join the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1092 Alachua County for a Color Guard presentation and changing of the US Flag on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10:30am.  The Heal Vets Craft Program attendees will Remember the Fallen and enjoy a BBQ lunch sponsored by the High Springs Woman's Club and the Friends of the High Springs Branch Library. No registration necessary! All are welcome!

We can never thank the veterans enough for serving our country.  The staff at the High Springs Library welcomes all veterans to drop in for fellowship with other veterans.  It is exciting to hear each veteran share their story of what it was like to serve in the United States Military. Veterans of all ages are invited to participate in a variety of crafts such as: woodwork, picture painting, sewing a pair mocassins or putting together a model car to name just a few of the kits that are available.  All craft supplies are provided by Help Heal Veterans.

The next Heal Vets Craft Program will be on the following Thursdays: February 22, March 22, April 26, May 3, 10, 17 and 24 at 10:30 a.m. at the High Springs Branch,

or, Fridays, May 11, June 8, July 13, Aug. 10, 10 a.m. at Cone Park Branch

or, Thursdays, May 24, June 28, July 26, Aug. 23, Sept. 27, Oct. 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Tower Road Branch
