Have a fun-filled February at the High Springs Library!

Black History MonthThe month begins with a performance by the Star Center Children's Theatre, who will present drama, songs and poetry by celebrating African-American history and culture, on Tuesday, February 3rd at 6:30 PM.

Baby TimeBeginning Thursday, February 5th at 11 AM, BabyTime will return each Thursday throughout the month of February.  Although the program is designed for infants up to 12 months and their caregivers, siblings are also welcome!

Valentine CraftHappy Valentine's Day! Come share the love on Tuesday, February 10th at 3 PM. Get your red, white, pink and purple on and create paper valentines for the ones you love. Ages 5-11.   

CupcakeTeens can join the fun on Thursday, February 12th at 4 PM, by getting creative with local artist Kate Kleefisch and decorating their very own cupcake. Ages 11-18.

Chinese New YearOn Thursday, February 19th at 3 PM, Linda Tiffany will join us for after school fun and help us celebrate Chinese New Year.  Create fish kites and practice Chinese painting and calligraphy. You will also see a Chinese dragon kite. Gung hay fat choy!

 

As usual, we will have Afternoon at the Movies on the first Thursday of the month, February 5th at 3 PM. This month we're showing a movie about puppy love, 101 Dalmations, so come enjoy popcorn and lemonade donated by the High Springs Friends of the Library. And everybody's favorite Preschool Storytime is on Tuesday mornings at 11 AM where children 0-5 can sing, dance, play and listen to new books and classic tales.
