A Musical Storytime with Tammy Murray

On Wed., Jan. 13th, 2016 at 3 PM, the High Springs Library is pleased and proud to have Tammy Murray in the house!  Tammy is a local accomplished musician who plays several instruments including banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, ukulele, dulcimer and more.  She will describe and demonstrate her instruments as well as accompany a few story books with her music to enhance the stories and make them lively.

Tammy is a member of the local band Patchwork who has recorded three CDs.  She is also featured with her band on several Florida Folk albums including "River Roads - Songs About Florida Waterways" as well as her own recording of "Six White Horses"

Tammy has won several awards for her music excellence.  Aside from being an award winning musician, Tammy is also recognized as an excellent teacher.  She has taught many workshops and music camps and is also a music teacher at a local school in Gainesville.

Please join us for this special event.  The program is geared for children 5-11, but adults are welcome and sure to have a great time!
