On April 9th at 4:00pm, at the High Springs Branch Library, teens and siblings Hannah O’Neal and Jakob Rix along with their instructor will teach self-defense moves to other teens. Hannah says she thinks it is important that both males and females learn what to do in a time of trouble. Knowing what to do reduces the risk of being a victim of an attacker.
This program has been prepared to educate teens on how to do smart things that will help keep them safe and to learn self-defense moves that could make a difference. Raising awareness and being prepared are major factors in not being hurt and saving lives.
Please come out for this worthwhile event and bring a buddy along.
This program is in observance of National Sexual Assualt Awareness Month. You're never too young to learn to be safe.
