Boo to You too!

On October 6 at 4:30 PM, Tower Road Library Branch  presents “Cooking Matters In Your Community with IFAS.”  This program is for school age children and adults.  Learn about smart snacking, understanding labels, and reducing your sugar intake (just in time for Halloween!). Sample an affordable, healthy and delicious dish. And on November 15, learn a healthy recipe in time for Thanksgiving.

Tower Road Library Branch plans a Zombie Homecoming for October 8 at 2:30 PM for school age children and teens.  Lurch on down to the library for our Zombie Homecoming. Come dressed in your zombie best (or worst) only if you dare! Our zombie make-up artists will be on hand to help complete your look. Start Halloween early with music, games, fun, and more!

Micanopy Library Branch hosts a Halloween Craft activity on October 16 at 2:00 PM for school age children.  Make a recycled ghost puppet that you can also adapt to activate remotely!

And the following day, October 17 at 3:30 PM, Millhopper Library Branch will present “Pumpkin Time.”  This storytime is for ages 3 – 11.  Join the Pumpkin Fairy as we learn about fall, pick a pumpkin and carve a jack-o-lantern. Wear a costume if you like!

Millhopper Library Branch also presents “Fun Friday: Fall Fest” on October 21 at 3:30 PM, for school children.  Join us for crafts, games and fun during Fall Fest!

Back at Micanopy Library Branch, Kids Movie will be shown on October 23 at 2:00 PM.  We will show a Halloween movie perfect for getting in the holiday spirit!   For ages 5 – 11.

Halloween Crafts are featured at High Springs Library Branch on October 25 at 3:00 pm for school kids.   Have a spooooky good time creating things that go bump in the night! Join us for Halloween crafts and get into the spirit of Fall. oooooooh!

A Halloween Hunt happens at High Springs Library Branch on October 25 at 6:00 PM.  Join the hunt for eyes, ears, nose, fingers and toes. Be careful where you step, you may just step on one of those. This will be an evening of fun for teens and tweens. There will be food, games and prizes. Feel free to wear a costume for this event.

A Halloween Spooktacular will be at the Archer Library Branch on October 27 at 4:00 PM for kids, tweens and teens.  Join us for spooky stories, games, crafts, and more!

Cone Park Library Branch hosts a Fall Festival on October 28 at 3:00 PM, geared for all ages.  Join us as we celebrate Fall with fun activities, crafts, and information from our community partners.

On October 31, Newberry Library Branch has a Halloween Party at 3:00 PM for all ages.  Join us on Halloween to make fun tricks and treats.

Also on October 31, Headquarters Library Branch hosts “Haunted Halloween Happening” at 3:00 PM for kids of all ages.  Come listen to some not-so-scary Halloween stories and poems, and then stay to make your own Halloween take-home craft. Boo!

The libraries continue with fun programs for kid in November.  Newberry Library Branch offers Fall Festival Crafts on November 5, all day, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for all ages.  Celebrate the Fall Festival in Newberry with creative crafts.

And on November 13 at 2:00 PM, Micanopy Library Branch provides Fall Crafts for school age children, 5 – 11.  Make a lovely mason jar candle holder, perfect for a window or table display.
