Fall / Halloween Programs for ADULTS or ALL AGES

October is chock full of fun programs and crafts to get you in the mood for a Happy Halloween and festive fall!  Here are some programs for ADULTS or ALL AGES.  Be sure to check out our fall and Halloween programs for KIDS and for TEENS too!

TEDTalks: Fear - Adults will enjoy TED Talks on the topic of fear followed by discussion.  Join us at Headquarters Branch on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 6:00pm.

Fall Festival - Celebrate fall at Cone Park Branch with fun activities, games, crafts, and information from our community partners on Friday, Oct. 19, from 1:00 to 3:00pm. All ages welcome! 

Spooktastic Halloween Celebration

The Library Partnership Resource Center, 912 NE 16th Avenue, will again host our PDF iconHalloween Spooktastic Event for Families on Wednesday, October 24, 3:00pm – 5:00pm. There will be fun activities such as face painting, costume relay races, food and fun for all ages!

Fall background with pumpkins, squash and sunflowersMicanopy Branch Closed - Enjoy the Fall Festival - Micanopy Branch will be CLOSED on Sunday, Oct. 28, for the Micanopy Fall Festival. The Fall Festival is on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 27 and 28, 2018, in Micanopy and offers something for all ages.

Horned owlOwls of North Florida - Spooky cries in the night - Come see the birds behind the spooky night-time howls.  This special program is for all ages, on Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 4:00 to 6:00pm at High Springs Branch.  

Happy Halloween, Trick or Treat at Tower Road Library - Come in your best costume and trick or treat at the library! - This all-day event features do-it-yourself crafts on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 10:30am to 7:30pm at Tower Road Branch is for all ages.  There will be non-food related treats for trick or treaters.

Horror Movie Marathon -- Happy Halloween! Celebrate this spooky day by watching horror movies. This program is for older teens and adults only.  Join us at Headquarters Branch in Meeting Room B on Wednesday, October 31, 11:00am - 6:30pm for a scary good time.  This all-day event will feature four PG-13 horror movies. The first movie starts at 11:00am. The titles (not in this particular order): Happy Death Day, A Quiet Place, Winchester, and Lights Out.  Boo!

Baddie Bash Halloween Party  - It's time for the villains to come out and play! Celebrate Halloween in style with our favorite scoundrels at Newberry Branch. There will be Baddie Bingo, Deatheater and Storm Trooper mask crafts, bat crafts, and an opportunity to show off your costume on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 3:00 to 4:00pm, for all ages, Don’t be late!

Face Painting with Karen Starbuck - Also on Halloween afternoon at Waldo Branch, Karen Starbuck will paint a unique design on your face. Costumes encouraged!  Be on time please,  Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 4:00 to 5:00pm.  For all ages!
