Meredith Ann Pierce, author of The Darkangel and The Firebringer Trilogies - Meredith Ann Pierce is a fantasy writer and librarian. Her books deal in fantasy worlds with mythic settings and yet overturn standard expectations, frequently featuring young women who first wish only to love and be loved, yet who must face hazard and danger to save their way of life, their world, and so on, usually without being respected for their efforts until the end of the story.
Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti - Starting out as an illustrator in New York, Amanda went on to draw for Marvel, Archie, and DC Comics, to name a few. The “Painkiller Jane” series made her name, but she is also known for “Lois Lane”, “Codename: Knockout”, and “Birds of Prey” for DC Comics’ Vertigo line, “X-Men Unlimited” for Marvel, and co-created “The Pro”, an Eisner-nominated book for Image Comics with Garth Ellis and her husband, Jimmy Palmiotti.
Amanda and Jimmy, along with writer Justin Gray, created Paperfilms, a multimedia entertainment studio, engaged in screenwriting, art production, and multimedia development.
