Make It, Take It: Kids ages 5 to 11 are invited to create fun, spooky or silly Halloween crafts.

Archer Branch

How to Draw Halloween Pictures: Kids and teens are invited to learn how to draw a pumpkin, ghost and other Halloween themed figures by following Ms. Emma’s step-by-step demonstration. 

Cone Park Branch
Friday, Oct. 30, 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Halloween Arts, Crafts and Activities: School age children are invited for activities and light refreshments. 

Hawthorne Branch
Thursday, Oct. 29, 3 to 4 p.m.
Teen Halloween Party with Craft and Face Painting: Teens can make their own nature light candle holders and have their faces painted to look like their favorite scary movie character by a professional face painter. 

Headquarters Library, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 26, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Florida Education Association's Halloween Event with future teachers presenting spooky Halloween stories and fun activities.
Tuesday, Oct. 27, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Thriller Night at the Library: Danscompany of Gainesville presents Michael Jackson's Thriller. Teens are invited to come early to have their faces painted like a zombies, then learn how to dance the zombie dance. 
Wednesday, Oct. 28, 7 to 8 p.m.
Truly Scary Stories: Teens are invited to hear stories that will scare and haunt them, told by some of the library’s favorite storytellers. 
Thursday, Oct. 29, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Halloween Stories and Horror Craft: Kids of all ages are invited to listen to some not-so-scary Halloween stories and poems, and to make their own Halloween take-home craft. 

High Springs Branch
Tuesday, Oct. 27, 3 to 4 p.m.
Halloween Crafts: Children ages 5 to 11 are invited for a spooky good time creating Halloween. 
Halloween Hunt: Teens and tweens ages 10 to 18 that can handle the surprises that will be hidden and buried in the library's backyard are invited for games, music, food and prizes for the scariest and the most original costumes. Thursday, October 29, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Full Moon Masquerade: Teen Wolf Prom: Teens and Tweens are invited for fun activities, dancing and snacks. 

Millhopper Branch

Learn about fall, pick a pumpkin and carve and jack-o-lantern at Pumpkin Time. Wear a costume too.
​Thursday, Oct. 29, 5 to 7 p.m.
A Very Teen Halloween: Celebrate Halloween by creating a candy haunted house, potion bottle charm or other craft then play games and watch a movie. Costumes are welcome. This event is aimed at middle and high school students. 

Newberry Branch
Thursday, Oct. 29, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Halloween Storytime: Kids of all ages are invited to enjoy Halloween stories with storyteller Caryl McKellar. 
Saturday, Oct. 31, 3 to 4:30 p.m.
Happy Halloween @ the Library: Start trick or treating at a safe place to show off your costume if you dare or show us a trick and get a sweet treat. 

Tower Road Branch
Thursday, Oct. 22, 6 to 7:30 p.m.
5th Annual Zombie Invasion: It’s a "night to dismember" and learn the Thriller dance led by instructors from Danscompany of Gainesville. Teens are invited to dress in their zombie best or worst. Zombie make-up artists will be on hand to help complete the look. 
Thursday, Oct. 29, 5 to 7 p.m.
Teen Halloween Party: Teens are invited for pumpkin decorating, costume contest, ghoulish games and more. 
Saturday, Oct. 31, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Trick or Treat @ Tower Road Branch: Fun treats for kids.
