Moon Landing 50th Anniversary Celebration

The whole family is welcome to visit the Micanopy Branch at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 20 for our Moon Landing 50th Anniversary Celebration.

We'll make some tasty Oreo moon phases and straw paper rockets. Test your skills with the "Space Race" asteroid toss game. Or relax and enjoy coloring a space-themed oversized poster that we'll display at the branch.

On the TV we'll have some videos of the moon landing, other Apollo missions, and the future of space travel.

Teens and adults looking for a great new non-fiction space read should check out our list here: Space: the final frontier. Stop in at Library Partnership Branch to see a collection of memorabilia on display.
