Sensory Friendly Family Events

Coco Movie LogoOn December 2, 2017 at 10:00 am Regal Cinemas Gainesville Cinema 14 will have a sensory-friendly showing of Disney/Pixar's Coco.  This special performance is part of the My Way Matinee and it invites audiences to sing, dance, and shout during the movie.  The movie auditorium will also have their lights turned up and the sound turned down.  For more information click here

On December 4, 2017 from11:00-11:30 the High Springs Branch will host Sensory Storytime.  This storytime will introduce children to the library and storytime in a gentle, fun, and enriching manner.

On December 9, 2017 UF Health Psychiatry, the Harn Museum of Art, and UF Health Shands Arts in Medicine are hosting a sensory-friendly art museum tour with activities.  Pre-registration is required.  The program is for families with children ages 8 to 12 and space is limited.  To register, contact Elizabeth King, M.S., at eking@harn.ufl.edu or 352-294-7061 and/or Cindi Gayle, Ph.D., at cgflores@ufl.edu or 352-265-8878.
