Spanish Explorers and Hat Craft

We are celebrating 500 years of Florida history with a fun history and craft program for kids.

Come join us at the Headquarters Branch at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, April 16. We will hear about the famous Spanish explorers, Ponce de Leon and Hernando de Soto.  Then we will make our very own conquistador helmets to take home using tin foil and duct tape.

Learn more about Florida history from our library collection.  This program is part of the Alachua County Library District's series of history programs in celebration of Viva Florida 500.
