Libraries will be closed on January 16 for Martin Luther King Jr. holiday

The Alachua County Library District will be closed all day on Monday, January 16, 2017, for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Book drops at all library locations and online services through the Library District’s eBranch,, will be available. All branches and bookmobiles will resume their regular schedules on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.

Holiday schedules apply at all 12 locations throughout Alachua County, including branch locations in Alachua, Archer, Hawthorne, High Springs, Micanopy, Newberry, Waldo, and five locations in Gainesville plus two bookmobiles serving multiple locations across the city and county.
