2019 National Library Card Sign-Up Month

Media Advisory – Aug. 23, 2019

Gainesville, Fla. – The Alachua County Library District will kick off National Library Card Sign-Up Month in September with prizes, games and a special story session featuring University of Florida mascots Albert and Alberta.

The campaign starts with Gator Storytime featuring Albert and Alberta at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 at Headquarters Branch, 401 E. University Ave. Following a few swamp stories and photos with your favorite Gators, sign up for a card and play a game to win a library prize.

New cardholders who register in September will be entered into a raffle for fantastic local prizes, including a gift bag from Cloud 9 Spa, an annual membership to the Cade Museum, and gift certificates to Dragonfly Sushi, Satchel’s Pizza and Boca Fiesta.
