Alachua County Library District’s (ACLD) Literacy Office is holding a Learning Conference Friday, October 24, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Headquarters Library, in Meeting Room A.
This new event is open to learners, tutors, community and faith-based program administrators and anyone else interested in the success of non-traditional adult learners, not only in regards to literacy.
Presenters and topics include:
- Three Rivers Legal Services - Getting Back on Track: Removing barriers to employment
- The NOW! Corporation – The New Science Behind Improving Reading Skills
- Santa Fe College’s Adult Education Department – Certificate and Apprenticeship Programs, that don’t require the GED diploma
