On Wednesday, June 22nd at 2:00 PM Professor DoDad will have his science lab set up in the library’s main meeting room. Professor DoDad combines wacky science experiments with humor to engage the brain and encourage learning while having fun.
Let your imagination run wild with Face Painting on June 29th at 2:00 PM. Kids will be able to pick out some cool art work and then display it proudly.
Live and preserved reptiles and amphibians will be on hand for the Slime and Scales program on Thursday, July 7th at 2:00 PM. This is sure to be hit with all those curious minds who love critters, crawlers, and all things slimy.
Learn about one of the fastest growing sports during the Disc Golf clinic on July 8th at 2:00 PM. Learn about fun facts, how to play, what equipment to use, and more!
Magic Mike and his bag of tricks will be at the library on July 18th at 2:00 PM. Magic Mike combines awe inspiring magic tricks with some good ole fashioned slapstick comedy.
Come in on Monday, July 25th at 2:00 PM to learn some self-defense techniques in Aikido, a modern Japanese martial art. This is a fun, energetic, and informative program that will be taught from the perspective of both the attacker and the defender. Dress comfortably.
In July and August, the Girls Matter group will meet to have fun and discuss everyday topics such as self-esteem and confidence, healthy choices, friendship, peer pressure, and setting short and long term goals. Guest speakers will be on hand, and the girls will create their own vision boards. The July meeting will be held on Thursday the 14th at 2:30 PM, and the August meeting will be held on the 11th at 2:30 PM.
Also, don’t forget about the Boys' Bash programs help on the following Thursdays at 3:30 PM: June 23rd, July 28th, and August 25th. This will include fun games and activities for elementary school aged kids.
Be sure to keep your mind strong by keeping up with the Summer Reading Program, and remember to come in and tell a staff member about the books you are reading! A prize just might be waiting for you.
