March 11-17 ONLY, Ancestry.com is allowing access to our Irish roots.
Through the regular internet website you will have to sign up for a temporary account to Ancestry.com, but through our In-Library access, the information is unlocked and just a click away. No signing up, no hassle. As you search, these records you previously could not view have been unlocked for this one week. Baptism, confirmation, marriage and burial records are available from Catholic parish registers that were digitized by the National Library of Ireland. This is a great week to focus on your Irish heritage!
Look what I found: my great-grandfather's baptism record.
This is a parish register from St. Finbarr's Church in 1847.
